Something more than the sea

Its proximity to the sea and the shell middens (concheiros) documented in archaeological excavations tell of an economy complemented by fishing and shellfishing, although it would have been agriculture and livestock-based. The importance of agriculture is evident from the documentation of a granary to store the cereal production, which was provided with a system to channel the rainwater away and prevent the products stored inside from being damaged.
