Natural and cultural heritage
The value of this site lies not only in its extensive historical occupation but also in the fact that Adro Vello’s archaeological area represents a wide range of natural and cultural heritage elements, such as the Castriño hillfort’s, ancient salting factories, raised granaries, stone crosses, a parish church built with some of the materials from the ancient church of Adro Vello or the rectory.
It falls within the Ons-O Grove Natural Space Complex, which forms a part of Red Natura 2000, under the category of special protection area of natural values.
