Trade with the Mediterranean

Initially, Alobre was a settlement devoted primarily to trade, favoured by its privileged position in the ria of Arousa. The materials documented during the archaeological excavation campaign are evidence of the strong ties with the Mediterranean world and, especially, with the southern Iberian peninsula, Italy and the Balearic Islands.
